Hooper Update!!!!!

I know what you all are thinking..... ITS ABOUT TIME!!!!!

Well, we have been quite busy lately with family and a few things here around the house. It's officially Winter with the 3 days of falling snow we have had and keeping inside as much as we can.

We have been having fun with a little water leak under the house and a pipe blockage out in the yard. I believe after about 3 weeks and possibly even more that we figured out what was really going on. We sure are thankful to have running water back in the house. Dad even jimmy rigged the washer to a pipe that led outside so I could still do laundry. Elaine and Steve were gracious with the use of restrooms when it was absolutely needed.... Anyway, its all fixed (we say that keeping our fingers crossed) and we couldn't be happier.

Jessica and Lili came and visited during Thanksgiving and that was so fun to see both. That was the first we had seen Lili and she is the cutest thing. I don't think the visit lasted long enough but we will see them again soon.

Lots of Family was here during Thanksgiving and as always its fun to see everyone and to see how much the little ones have grown..they sure grow up fast.

We are now in the hibernating state of winter and hope it goes by fast so we can enjoy some warm weather again.

Roy's 80th Birthday Day

Roy's birthday this year was not just on his birthday day put we spent the whole week celebrating 80 years. We started off with a trip to Fish Lake with the Damron's on a pontoon boat and we fished the day a way. The fishing was great and we are so happy for catch and release, or we would still be eating fish 3 times a day. We had a special time with Tage Carroll ( Ivy and Barts son) on the boat with us, cause he caught his first fish and as you can see in the pictures below he was not very happy when he had to hold it up for a picture.
Next Dorothy Higgins (Friend) with the help of Claire ( Daughter) and all our childern. She had made a DVD of pictures of Roy over the years. What fun it was to watch and reminisce.
Saturday will be the day to remember, our 3 childern and most of their families came and spent the day with us. It started in the early afternoon out on the back lawn with cold cuts and fruit, and the cake that Roy won from the radio station. All the grandkids ate birthday cake and had ice cream cones. Ran all over the yard. Then at 6:30 pm all the adult went to dinner at Steve's Steak House.

What a wonderfull time we had. Thanks to those who traveled.

Special Day at Manti Temple

What a very special day we had at the Temple with Chase and Ethan. They were getting ready to go on there missions. for The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Both boy are in England but different parts.

Just a Day in Our lives!!

Today is one of those days that you pray for Spring to hurry up and get here already!!! Grandpa and Uncle Verl went fishing today, another reason why the warmer weather is going to be nice, Grandpa will be able to get out and about and do things outside, and go fishing a lot more. Hope everyone is doing well.ew

The 80th Birthday Bash

Thought we better post this now so all the family would know what is going on. We are planning on Celebrating Grandpas 80th birthday with a huge family party. We are not sure of the date yet, but when it is finalized we will let you all know. Probably sometime in June, but don't set it in stone.
We are also going to try and keep this blog updated, I know we havent been doing a good job about it, but we have a little willing help so hopefully it will stay updated!!
